2007_11_30_zoeyzane.jpgIt’s sad to see that Emily Sander’s (aka Zoey Zane) “porn” “career” is getting a lot more attention as a result of her tragic death than it did shen she was alive; at least now when you visit her website you’ll find information which her friends and family hope will lead to the capture of her suspected killer. (Along with some remarks on why this wasn’t exactly a “missing porn star” case to begin with.) (zoeyzane.com)

Maybe it’s just me, but there seems to be a creepy undercurrent to the news stories written about this, as if her foray into porn was some how the cause of her death. And they are totally turning this into a sordid movie of the week – the tragic inevitabel end of the sinful porn star. Poor girl.

What a truly horrible story. And yes, I have to agree with Justin above – the suggestion seems to be present that if she wasn’t a nude model she’d be alive and kicking.

It made our local newspaper, as did the troops no longer getting porn. It’s nice that our paper is scared to discuss sexual news/tragedy.

Her occupation didn’t kill her, some wierdo did. This is not a valid excuse for her murder. Someone shot a guy in the face and they tried to say it was his fault because he was drunk, what does that have to do with anything, he got shot while on his bike.

@DARKEWNE: I agree. The media is trying to turn her into a cautionary tale. But she chose to leave a bar with a man and go into his hotel room. That had nothing to do with her “porn career.” The lesson shouldn’t be “this is what you get for taking nudie pics” it is “don’t go back to motels with a strange man.”
