It is a truth universally acknowledged that black and white photography is automatically classier and of greater artistic value than the more realistic but (therefore) more vulgar full color kind, and nowhere is that concept more apparent than in the world of hardcore smut. For a helpful example, look no further than this newish French photo blog, in which the proprietor has posted a bunch of black and white porn pics: if they were in color they’d just be your usual interestingly composed and cropped but otherwise garden variety wank fodder, but thanks to the magic of greyscale tonality they’re transformed into the kind of highbrow visual culture that wouldn’t be out of place in an expensive coffee table book or hanging on the walls of a fancy art gallery. (Which isn’t to say that you still can’t wank to it, of course. It’s just that now you can wank to it and feel a little more classy about doing so.)
