2007_11_05_loyola.jpgWriting about sex seems to be a more accepted activity on our nation’s campuses than ever … unless you’re working on the student literary magazine at Loyola University in Chicago, in which case you also have to deal with university officials pulling it off the stands because of its “pornographic” nature. Wasn’t higher education supposed to be all about broadening one’s horizons or something? (suntimes.com)

Gotta love how it’s some old priest talking about demeaning women.

Why don’ t they just publish it online? Can’t ban the internet. Or can they?

I went to LUC – and diminuendo is about 20 pages of “artsy”
photographs by the resident artsy person with a photography minor, a
few emo poems by the same 3 people, and edgy prose from one
person…all of which either related to riding the El, Lake Michigan on
a January morning, or college SEX. I don’t see how anything has changed
short of them making it a cover.
