    This is all well and good, but is Violet Blue trademarked?

    There are other people with my name in the world, that probably have done some horrible things, but they still have the right to have my name. My name isn’t sacred.

    I just don’t see why this is a legal matter.

    Porn is a small community, so I don’t see how two people with the same name can really coexist successfully, especially when blogger Violet’s career in some sense depends on the fact that she is NOT a performer.

    Making an effort only counts if she succeeds.

    If you read the linked article, you’ll see that one of Ada Mae Johnson’s co-stars wrote Violet Blue an email congratulating her on her writing gig at SFGate, clearly confusing the two. If Miss Johnson’s friend got confused, I think the judge will likely side with Violet Blue.

    I’m rooting for Violet Blue (the perfomer). She’s as sweet as can be, hard-working, successful, and has in no way been trying to pass herself off as the writer. I know her, and she’s made a point to establish a difference between the writer and herself.
