There’s a reason why rooms with a view come at such a premium when booking that vacation hotel, and it isn’t because people like to look lovingly down at the sandy beach from the comfort of their room—it’s so that everyone on the boardwalk can get an eyeful of them doing it on the balcony. You don’t think people travel to island paradises halfway around the world just so they can close the curtains when they get there, do you? Heck, you can stay home and do that. But there’s also an excellent chance your next door neighbor won’t be grabbing a tan below your bedroom window when you’re enjoying yourself in Fiji.
