Bye Bye Belladonna

No sooner had we started to adjust to life in a post-Jenna Jameson world this week than we receive news that the ever-delightful Belladonna, whose crush object status has been well documented here on Fleshbot ever since we started taking our first baby steps into the world of porn blogging, has decided to retire from the skin trade as well … or at least from performing with other people (she will, thankfully, continue to produce her own solo features as well as keep up with her busy schedule of dancing, signings, and personal appearances.) By way of explanation, Bella tells us that her decision was a result of various developments in her life as well as a recent STD outbreak that caused her to take stock of her career:

“This is really a big decision for me and it hurts me in some ways, but the way I look at… it’s time to let me body relax … Don’t worry, I’m not leaving the business, I’m just not going to be performing in front of the camera anymore. I know that is why a lot of you are my fans, but I hope you continue to be a fan of my work directing and behind the camera in the years to come.”

Not to worry, Bella—we’ll continue to follow you wherever you decide to go, and wish you the best of luck in your travels. In the meantime … so long, and thanks for all the fists!
