Tricia Helfer in Playboy

2007_01_16_tricia2.jpg

Sci-fi nerds were ready to blast into hyperspace upon hearing the news that Battlestar Galactica’s Cylon hottie Tricia Helfer would be appearing in the pages of Playboy magazine. No such manipulations of the space-time continuum are necessary, however since the pictures have now arrived and they everyone can see the cybernetic babe without her shiny metal casing. We hope it doesn’t show our age to say that we miss the flashing red "eyeball" and bizarre mechanical voices of the original Battlestar bad guys, but after seeing these pictures we have to confess that casting slinky babes to play the robotic enemies in the updated version of the series was a slight improvement. It was a stroke of genius actually, because if an army of Tricia’s tried to enslave the human race, we’d probably surrender in about five seconds.

Unfortunately the media hear BSG and think of walking chrome toasters.

The future is here, and it came in supermodel form.
