Fleshbot Star Search: Ashley

Meet Ashley, our latest model to be plucked out of clothed obscurity and presented to her soon-to-be adoring masses. Ashley’s shoot marks two firsts for our new Star Search feature: it took place in the glamorous downtown Manhattan loft of a certain high-powered media mogul whose name we can’t mention lest his sideline pornographic activities jeopardize his status with the INS; and we used a professional stylist and makeup artiste for the first time. (Yes, we actually have a budget for this.) Our own photographic auteur Nikola Tamindzic tells us that Ashley was “a dream to shoot”. Hopefully you’ll find her photos as equally dreamy to look at.

    clearly, this nikola guy is a great art photographer, but art-porn is virtually never sexy in the least. i think that may be an unpopular opinion around these parts, but the concept of an amateur star-search is great.

But “art-porn is virtually never sexy in the least? Then why are we so obsessed with looking at it? Yes, it can be art, and be sexy at the same time. In fact, if it is great art, it will have to be sexy, because that is what makes it art in the first place. The Mona Lisa is art. Do we look at it with any lust? No, because it is just art. Now if this “Nikola guy” had done that picture in his style, it would still be art, but we would look at it in an entirely different point of view. So how can MoeGolden say that art-porn is virtually never sexy. It has to be by it’s very name. Art-porn. Read the word Mr. MoeGolden.
