It may be perverse of us to post an online review of "Necromania" that calls it "vapid even by Ed (Wood)'s standards"—but then again, isn't wilful perversity what Ed Wood is all about? Besides, the review is based on the edited, softcore versions of the films which have been circulating for years in VHS editions, not the restored, full-length hardcore version Fleshbot Films is releasing on DVD this week. So take it with a grain of salt. (Not that we can promise that you'll think that the plot makes any more sense or that the sex scenes don't go on "pointlessly for way too long" in the new DVD version either, but at least you'll have the entire film at your disposal to make up your own mind.)
