"Necromania" may be the first of Ed Wood's porn films to appear on DVD, but Wood fans have been treasuring pristine versions of his more mainstream creations like "Glen or Glenda?" and "Plan 9 From Outer Space" (if you can call them mainstream, that is) since Image Entertainment released digital editions of four classic films a few years ago. This 2000 article on the releases also gives a good overview on the rehabilitation of Wood's reputation that the DVD releases helped foster. Let's hope "Necromania" keeps that tradition intact.
