Fleshbot Contest: So You Want To Be A Porn Star, Take Two

2006_07_31_dana1.jpg

Since Fleshbot believe that every single one of our readers should have the opportunity—nay, the right, even—to be able to tell their grandchildren someday that they were once in a porn movie, we’re happy to announce the return of our “So You Want To Be A Porn Star” contest … only this time, you won’t even have to spend a single cent of your own money on subway fare to get to the set. This time around, VividAlt will be providing the lucky winner with a prize package guaranteed to make even Jenna Jameson jealous … and we promise you’ll still be able to tell your mom all about your experience without being too embarassed.

Full contest details after the jump.

The contest:
Send us an email describing why you think you deserve to make your porn debut with VividAlt. This can be in the form of an essay, a poem, a haiku, a picture, a Photoshop collage, a song, a short video clip … as long as you can attach it to an email and it winds up in our inbox, it’s eligible. Remember: spelling, neatness, and originality count! (Just because it’s alt doesn’t mean it has to be sloppy.)

The prizes:
Courtesy of the good folks at VividAlt, the grand prize winner of the contest will receive the following:

· A custom-written role in superstar directrix Vena Virago‘s upcoming VividAlt production “EastSide Story”, to be shot in Los Angeles in September:

“‘EastSide Story’ is a hardcore look at the hipsters and graffiti-art-types who inhabit the neighborhoods east of Echo Park. Shot on location in the urban sprawl beyond downtown LA, ‘EastSide Story’ is part documentary and part ‘art happening’, framed around some truly trippy triple-x sex scenes. This is Hip-Hop meets Electro … This is where the Low-Riders meet the Art-Cars … This is where white, black and brown hook up under the red, white and blue.”

(Note: the role is non-sexual, but it does include dialogue … and if you want to take your clothes of anyway while hanging around the set, we’re sure no one will mind.)

· Round-trip airfare to Los Angeles from anywhere within the United States or Canada (sorry, overseas readers—we promise we’ll come up with a contest for you one of these days too).

· Two night’s accomodations in a fabulous Los Angeles hotel—and by “fabulous” we don’t mean “conveniently situated under a flight path near LAX”.

· A spumoni date with VividAlt superstarlet and self-proclaimed nerd lover Dana DeArmond. (We were going to call it an ice cream date, but what can we say? The girl likes spumoni.)

· A copy of every single VividAlt DVD release for an entire year.

Two runners up will receive the year’s worth of VividAlt DVDs as well, and while we’d love to send everyone on a spumoni date with Dana DeArmond, we’re afraid her schedule won’t allow that to happen.

    Dear Flashbot,

Since I was eighteen, I have been told and asked to star in porn, by people who usually knew someone who could get me started. Unfortunately, most of them where looking for a gay subject in which I failed due to the fact that I’m straight nor could they get me to stray from that. Therefore, I have turned down many opportunities of open doors to the porn world. But now, as a 28 year old young man, I can’t stop wondering why I didn’t do it. Was it because I’m not gay, or maybe it was because I had no trust in them. It’s not like I can’t take care of myself, but you never know what or whom you may be getting into. To be perfectly honest, I am at a stand still in finding a career for myself and I have no training, other than what the Navy has provided me with, which isn’t saying much. Paper pushing at the Post Office is not where I see myself in the years to come. So hear I am, knocking on the door to the Porn Industry requesting some help and guidence. What do I do? How can I make a name for myself in your line of work without having a way of entry? So I got online and googled “how to become a porn star”. This is how I found your site. Please, I’m not one to beg, unless role playing, and I ‘m asking for some assitance. My e-mail is cochino_lz@yahoo.com and I believe I may be just what you are looking for. Thank you for your time and feedback in advance.

    Sincerely,

    Brandon L.
