If you thought former stripper and hip-hop hanger-on Karrine Steffans didn’t reveal as much in her 2005 tell-all biography “Confessions of a Video Vixen” as you might have hoped, you might want to circle April 19th on your calendar: in an instance of remarkably serendipitous marketing, Vivid will be releasing a DVD next week featuring a several years-old hardcore scene starring Karrine and porn majordomo Mr. Marcus that was filmed before her encounters with P. Diddy, Jay-Z, Usher et al. landed her a book contract and “Oprah” appearance. The scene will presumably explain how she earned her industry nickname of “SuperHead”; according to the press release, “Before she blew the lid off the hip-hop world, she blew Mr. Marcus.” Fleshbot hopes Ms. Steffans’ career will benefit from the notoriety her newfound porn exposure will undoubtedly bring her—after all, once you’ve gone down, there’s nowhere to go but up, right?
